Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes have offered 2019 quarterback Grant Tisdale. Tisdale announced the offer Tuesday evening.

Rated the No. 4 dual-threat quarterback in the 2019 class, Tisdale (6-1 204) was a backup quarterback last year as a sophomore for Allen High School in Allen, Texas.

Despite being a backup, he still played in a number of games, completing 34-of-55 passes for 522 yards, with six touchdowns and two interceptions. He also rushed for 185 yards and three touchdowns.

With Allen's previous starting quarterback Mitchell Jonke now graduated and off to Brown University, Tisdale is expected to step in and star.

Prior to the Ohio State offer, Tisdale also held offers from Mississippi State, Texas Tech, Utah, and SMU. He visited Oklahoma this spring as well.

Tisdale is now the third 2019 quarterback the Buckeyes have offered. He joins Michael Johnson Jr. (Eugene, OR) and Bo Nix (Pinson, AL), both of whom seem like long shots at this point. Johnson's father was hired to be Oregon's receivers coach, and Nix is from Alabama, which means OSU's chances are less than minuscule.

Don't expect Tisdale to be the final quarterback the Buckeyes offer in 2019, as they will continue to evaluate passers throughout the offseason. They can afford to spend time looking this far ahead because they already have their 2018 quarterback situation settled with 5-star verbal commitment Emory Jones.

You can watch highlights of Tisdale below.
