Jantel Lavender Named Big Ten Player of the Week

Ohio State 6-4 junior center Lavender collects her fourth Player of the Week award this season after leading Ohio State to a 78-47 win over Northwestern in the Buckeyes’ regular-season finale.
Lavender, a product of Cleveland Central Catholic High School, dropped in 26 points on 70.6 percent shooting (12-of-17), also grabbing 12 rebounds, blocking two shots, and dishing a pair of assists.
The performance marked Lavender’s 55th career double-double, making her the active leader in the Big Ten. The weekly honor is the 13th of Lavender’s career, which is third all-time in conference history.
